If you change your parameters partway through the process, the different flavor profiles will mix, making it difficult to determine what you did wrong and what you did correctly. Flavor profiles get mixed based on the volume of what you're adding vs the volume and attributes you're mixing it with. A good strategy is to isolate your variables with small batches, then start mass producing once you have a good recipe.
